How to increase the chances of selling my items?

1. Photography
This is the first thing people see when they look at your items. If your picture is too dark, people won’t be able to inspect your items fully. Items look best against a clear or white background and with natural lighting (best in the morning to late afternoon). Also, adding additional photos will help you sell your items. Try modeling your clothes or putting them on a mannequin in order for people to see what it may look like on or how it can be styled!
2. Description
Be as descriptive as possible. Your buyers want to know what they are buying, if you simply write ‘blue jeans’ this will not make your blue jeans stand out to the hundreds of blue jeans on Trend Trunk. Instead, write something like: “These size 6 DKNY stone-washed denim jeans are in perfect condition and have only been worn twice”. Here you mention the size, label, look, and the condition of the jeans; this allows the buyer to know exactly what they are buying. Also, tag as many descriptive words as possible in order to make it easier for people to find your items: #DKNY, #denim, #stonewashed, etc.
3. Advertise
Social media is definitely one of the best tools for sellers to use. When you tweet, share on Facebook, or pin on Pinterest, this allows your followers to see what you are selling and gives them a chance to share with their followers as well.
4. Pricing
If your item isn’t selling, chances are your asking price is too high. Try lowering your price for an increased chance to sell. Buyers love a bargain!
5. Follow and Lust Other Sellers
If you lust a sellers item or follow their closet, chances are they will check out your closet and items as well, increasing your chances of selling.
